A very nice real SS car that has been owned by the last owner since 1979. It is in the SS registry and has paperwork that goes with it including broadcast sheet, protecto plate and odometer statements. This Chevelle came from Western South Dakota with the last owner having it since 1979. There are odometer statements from him stating It has actual miles.


MECHANICAL- It has the matching 396 v8 L35 according to the Pre Delivery sheet(T0124JA) , matching M20 4speed(P9A29A) and 3.31 Posi Rear end. It has dual exhaust, factory tach and rally wheels. The engine has been rebuilt at 61,000 miles. This Chevelle has been through our 160 point inspection.

EXTERIOR- It has the correct paint color, code 71, Lemans Blue that was restored in 2007 and still looks great. It has show quality paint with the shine. I can't call it perfect because of a couple spots on the lower rear of door that have bubbled, but is extremely nice. Hard to see but we disclose all flaws we see. INTERIOR- It has its correct bench seat and black vinyl seats and is in great shape with no issues. We have added a new steering wheel. The interior needs nothing.

DIRK'S COMMENTS- With 37 years of experience I will give you my opinion of the Chevelle. It is a true classic and has had a nice restoration done on it. If you appreciate original this is a car for you as it has been left as ordered from the factory with front disc brakes and no power steering. Not many Chevelle's have been left alone and not customized so nice to see that. A great driving car and a head turner.


History- A car from Western South Dakota with the previous owner having it since 1979. Originally sold new at Dunn Chevrolet in Cherokee, Iowa.


TEST DRIVE- I have drove it around 20 miles and drives great. It shifts smooth and the manual drum brakes work well. With the history of this car you are getting a great car to drive as the last owner of 43 years did.

UNDERNEATH- A nice and clean underneath with no issues. Appears to have original floor and trunk.
